During the development and initial month of operating Bold Monk Brewing Co., the most frequently asked question has been – “What was your inspiration for the Bold Monk?”. At first we didn’t really have a succinct response, but after several attempts, it came down to two simple words – hope and faith.

Over the years of building restaurants, we have had our ups and downs, our joys and struggles, and through prayer, hope and faith, we have been blessed to be able to create a company that supports over 150 people, and serves guests from around the world.
The name is purposeful, as the bold monk represents a thoughtful person of strength. One who appreciates community, but also independence. One who is willing to sacrifice in support of others as well as individual pursuits. In short one who serves. By integrating a brewery, a restaurant, a third space with coffee, a book store and beer garden, a social gathering spot is created where individuals can find their place to be, where we can spread a message of hope and faith and where we can promote a culture of joy and light.
In hope and faith,
Alan LeBlanc
